Design excellence. World class dining. Natural beauty. From the calm of the headland Reserve in the north to the urban energy of the southern retail precinct, Barangaroo is your place to meet, work, dine, relax or just soak up a whole new view of Sydney. Nestled between the natural wonder of Sydney Harbour and the bustling city streets, Barangaroo is a 22-hectare reinvention of an historically significant site.

At the northern end, Barangaroo Reserve is a six-hectare re-created Sydney Harbour headland. It offers an entirely Australian native garden, spectacular views, extensive walking and cycling trails, idyllic harbour coves, unique event spaces and peaceful picnic spots.

In contrast, the southern end is a foodies’ paradise, only a few minutes’ walk from Wynyard Station. There are more than 30 restaurants and bars in this specially curated dining precinct. The laneways of Barangaroo are where contemporary architecture and the corporate world comfortably collide with the area’s maritime and industrial history.

Between Barangaroo Reserve and the laneways in the south is the Central Barangaroo project area. This part of the project is still under tender, with the successful bid due to be announced in late-2017. This area’s civic and cultural contribution is intended to be the beating heart of Barangaroo.

Barangaroo is named after an Aboriginal leader at the time of European colonisation

Sculpture at Barangaroo returns to Barangaroo Reserve from 5-20 August, presented in partnership with the Barangaroo Delivery Authority and Sculpture by the Sea.
